A Beginners Guide to Introspection

A Beginners Guide to Introspection

Introspection is the art of understanding about yourself and how you react to events going on in the world.  Any life coach worth their salt will tell you that introspection is one of the fundamentals of self-improvement. The more self-aware you become, the more you’re able to understand others, which helps you in many ways. Why? Because self awareness gives you an idea of how people tick.

To take introspection to its highest possible level will benefit every aspect of your life.  Through introspection you can begin to change aspects of your behaviour that don’t assist you in being a success, you can identify the specific things that make you happy. Introspection is not just about learning about yourself for it teaches you about the world in general.

Perhaps the most significant thing of all about introspection is that it encourages you to challenge existing beliefs and values that you may take for granted. Introspection acts as a torch into the soul that gives us the information we need to make the necessary changes, it helps to engrain a sense of realism counterbalanced with an optimism and self belief for the future.

Introspection requires you to spend time thinking about the things that are going well in your life, as well as what is wrong. By shifting the focus in this way you allow yourself to see the unsavoury things about you, but you are placed in a frame of mind that will take decisive action. On a positive note you may discover extra things you enjoy and do well in. Introspection is a great way of highlighting an area that you have an interest or skill in. You encourage yourself to incorporate new behaviours and positive thinking, but you do not dwell on the past of previous failings.

Introspection increases your levels of self awareness, but it also improves your decision making ability because you feel more confident in the knowledge you are basing your decision making on. Limiting decision making is any decision that decides not to proceed with something on the basis of not feeling capable of doing it. Any decision you make that is reached by you thinking that you are too stupid or bad is an example of this. The more limiting decisions you make in your day to day life increase the likelihood of this type of decision making becoming habit.

Through developing your sense of introspection to its fullest extent, you will become far more honest with yourself. There is little point in being a little bit honest or biased against your weaknesses. It is essential that you manage to avoid looking at yourself through rose tinted glasses. The best way to do this is by asking the right questions and answering them honestly.

You have to become self aware to the point where there are no secrets being kept from yourself. Truth, no matter how unsavoury, is the first place to start before finding solutions to your problems.

So, the best way to find stuff out about something is to ask the relevant questions. In your case the relevant questions should include things that answer specific questions about yourself, such as ‘What are my biggest strengths?’ and ‘What am I weak at?’ Search for the most honest appraisal possible. Do not be afraid of confronting your weaknesses because it takes strength to do that! From learning your weaknesses, you become aware of what to build upon and what to exclude from you future positioning.

Introspection is a highly emotive process: You need to identify the dominant emotions of your character in order to understand who you are.

Labelling an emotion precisely is not that important. The most important thing is to be able to analyse your thoughts and behaviours in a way that shows you where your attention is being focused.

With that in mind think about looking at emotions as being either healthy or unhealthy rather than searching for a precise descriptive term. Not only does this make it simpler but it also allows you to react in a controlled and typical way.  In addition it avoids confusion when you come to discussing your feelings with other people. For instance, think about the different ways that two separate people can describe the same thing. We may use different words but they have the same meaning.

Do you think those stereotypes and tainted words about Islam really work?

Rationally speaking, What did the islamophobics achieve by all the media stereotypes to taint muslims and religion islam?

Do they really achieve anything out of it?

The truth speaks for itself and the statistics say that more people are actually converting to islam. There are smart people who believe in themselves, not in what others judge.

Assalamualaikum

They work to a point but where it backfires for those who try to propagate this misinformation about Islam is when people start to now take an interest in what Islam is and when they start to objectively learn for themselves what Islam is, they then start to realize that all the Propaganda against Islam that they were fed is false and that Islam is actually the true religion.
So basically those media groups who feed the people with propaganda against Islam fail to realize that they actually giving free publicity to this religion and where it backfires for them is that people start to take an interest in Islam and end up becoming Muslim.
Like Allah tells us in the Glorious Quran that they will plan and Allah will also plan and Allah is the best of planners.

And Allah knows best
May Allah provide us with guidance
Salaam

Why do Muslims from different parts of the world claim descent from Muhammad?

muslims the world over from Albania to Mauritania, from Somalia to Indonesia all claim descent from Muhammad.

Why is this so? Surely he can’t have that many descendants..

Only serious answers please.

Trust me, some of these claims are false. I know some people who claim this and since we’re from the same family tree, I know we’re both not related to the Prophet (pbuh). I think some claim this because they feel like they’ll have a closer connection to the religion if they’re related to Prophet Mohamed. But that’s silly… religion shouldn’t be about blood ties, we were all created by God and that should be good enough for any Muslim.

How are the current issues with Islam different to previous ones with Christianity?

Granted I do not know all that much about the small details and statistics about either, but all I have been hearing about Islamic violence and killings sounds just like what the Christians did throughout history to gain power and more followers.

So my questions are;
How is the current situation with Islam different to the way Christianity used to be?
and Why are modern Christians so uptight about Islam, when they’re following the same religion which has brought about so many murders itself?

Christians stoned people they disliked to death.

muslims do the same, but run people over with tanks instead of stoning them.

If Muslims are so peaceful, why do they go to Haj pilgrimage to stone the devil?

Filed under: muslims — Tags: Devil, muslims, Old Testament, People, Pilgrimage, Radical Islam, Throwing Stones — admin @ 2:12 am

I read where they go there to stone the devil. These are the same peaceful Muslims we all hear about. They are not the radical Islam muslims. Throwing stones at the devil does not seem very peaceful to me, even if it is the devil. Yes, I know in the old testament people threw stones too, but we no longer do such a thing. So is this OK with you and if so why? I think it shows they are not peaceful at all.

maybe they just want to get stoned

Why are some muslimsmurdering non-muslims and even other muslims? What measures are needed for protection agai?

Increeasingly, muslims who profess being religious kill other muslims and non -muslims in the name of God. It seems a perversion of their own beliefs. A video on the internet has now celebrated the attack by the us milirary psychiatrist as a brother in the jihad . Another murder in Mauritania claimed by Al-Quaeda also has issued the same message.

the U.S. needs to pack up everyone of these people and send them back to their country, or open up hunting season on them as they do the over populated deer. They put the Japanese in labor camps after Pearl Harbor was attacked, and have done NOTHING to protect us from the sleepers, who the government knows is here. They are more interested in making friends with the murderers, than protecting their own people.

How many types of muslims are there?

Filed under: muslims — Tags: Enemies, Fight Back, infidels, muslims, People, Two Kinds, Wife Beating — admin @ 6:07 am

I noticed at least two. The kind who keep whooping and bellowing about how they will defeat their enemies, and the kind who whine endlessly whenever their enemies fight back. Are there two kinds of muslims or are these the same people?

oh there’s a bunch!!
the terrorist kind, the wife-beating kind, the murdering-infidels kind…
who cares? they’re all crazy.
